This is a place to share our lives with those who mean so much to us. It's a place to track our comings and goings, childhood's moments of beauty, growth, happiness, sadness, wisdom, and hilarity that are otherwise all-too-soon forgotten. So come in and make yourself comfortable in this circus bigtop we otherwise call our daily life - the show has just begun!

One Last Hoorah

Summer is giving us one last hoorah.  There is a strong wind blowing up from the south, bringing all the warmth with it, defying the onset of winter. If it wasn't actually October already, I might turn on the air conditioning. But the hoses are already disconnected and wound up for the winter, and since our air conditioning system needs hoses to work, we're just putting up with the warm air. It feels like August again! This summer has been good to us. We hate to say good-bye.

Here are a few photos I snapped earlier this summer before Katya got her cast off. Little girls playing in the yard on a sunny Sunday afternoon.
